I'll start small with a couple of quotes Ryan has said lately and leave it at that. Charley is saying alot of new words and I'll do a different post of those later.
The other day Ryan and Charley were going to Gin Gin's for the afternoon because Ryan was home from school due to strep and Venus had her three grandchildren and wasn't available. We went exploring that morning and picked up rocks, leaves, and sticks and came back in and Ryan made a picture for Gin Gin. She had a pen and said that she was "writing" and she said she wrote: "Gin Gin I really love you...I will care about you." I thought that was so sweet. She kept saying that Gin Gin and Bubby would really, really like the picture. They did great there that afternoon. Ryan hopped in my old bed and went right to sleep and Charley slept well in the crib.
Another cute recent quote involved carrots and ranch dressing that I send with Ryan to school. I was using Tupperware to send the Ranch dressing but one day I had a disposable Ranch dressing container and told her she could throw it away. Well, after that day I went back to giving her Tupperware and she kept throwing it away. I kept telling her not to throw it away but she told me that I told her it was OK. So, I had to buy more because she threw away all of my small ones and I showed her the new ones and told her not to throw away anything that looked like that. So, she finally came home and had not thrown it away. I praised her and the next morning reminded her not to throw it away and she said "I will try but when I throw it away it will be an accident."
The other day Ryan stepped on Charley's foot and Charley was crying and Ryan asked very calmly "Do I need to go to time out?"
